Children – Our Future is a UK based charity making a difference to the lives of homeless, poor, neglected and abused children in Latvia.

Our major project is a Crisis/Support Centre in a particularly deprived area of the capital, Riga. This provides a place where street kids can find food, clothing, a place to wash and above all a friendly face and some care and attention.

This centre may be the only place that these kids will find anyone willing to love them. The centre is staffed by experienced childcare workers who are dedicated to improving the lives of the children.

By showing love to these kids who receive none from their families, or who have no family to love them, we are breaking the cycle of despair, that drives so many to drink and drugs, thereby decreasing the likelihood that further generations of children will end up on the streets.

Children – Our Future provides a home for 6 former street kids. We also have a family support program giving financial and practical support to ensure that families can stay together and children can remain in school.

Children – Our Future provides funds so that children attending a countryside Sunday School can have a hot Sunday lunch every week – for some of them this is the only proper meal they have had since the previous Sunday. This has recently been expanded into an all day Sunday Club with thre meals, games and activities for about 25-30 Children. More about this soon.

In order to be certain that we can continue this work long term we need regular funding so that we can plan for the future. With your help we can make a difference and provide care for the many children who are really in need.
